Community platform · WordPress & PWAAn evolving philately platform designed to help collectors discover Indian stamps, terminology, history, guides and community resources in one organised place.
The challenge
What the project needed
Philatelic knowledge is often scattered across catalogues, specialist groups and individual websites. The project needs to organise a growing collection of structured information without making the experience feel like a dense database, while remaining practical for collectors using phones and slower connections.
Our approach
How we are building it
- Modelled specialist content such as stamps, release information, philatelic terms and historical dates
- Designed browseable sections that serve both new collectors and experienced philatelists
- Planned community resources including directories and maps for philatelic locations
- Developed the website as an installable progressive web app for convenient mobile access
- Created a foundation for future open data, automation and mobile-app capabilities
Outcome and direction
Building a platform the community can keep using
The current website established the project and its audience. The platform is in constant, ongoing development: new features are being added and bugs fixed on a continuous basis as it grows into a more structured, searchable and mobile-friendly resource for the community.
